Other Considerations:
As a prerequisite to licensure for the practice of permanent cosmetics (they call us permanent cosmetologists), an applicant shall provide proof of a course of approved study lasting at least 60 hours. In addition, the applicant shall obtain at least 40 hours of practical experience, within two calendar years preceding the application, working under the direct supervision of a tattooist or permanent cosmetologist licensed and in good standing with this State or the state in which he or she is regulated, and who has been in practice a minimum of three years.
